Liverpool Theory Test Centre Directions
Car
Liverpool’s testing venue is located within the ’10 Duke Street’ building, located on the south side of the city centre. The site is part of the Liverpool One complex of retailers and businesses. Liverpool is accessible via the M62 from the east, and from the north and south via the M6. The M57 motorway loops right around the eastern perimeter of the city, and therefore facilitates easy onwards travel to the centre of Liverpool.
Parking
There is extremely limited on-street parking on Duke Street, and unfortunately no alternative local car parks nearby. All parking sites within realistic walking distance belong to private businesses or train stations, and are reserved for customers only. Therefore, we would encourage you to opt for public transport when navigating your route to the test centre.
Bus
There are a number of services which pass in close proximity to the test site. When planning your personal journey towards Duke Street, we would recommend, if possible, arriving at one of the following bus stops:
Liverpool One Bus Station, Campbell Street, College Lane. All of these stops are within a four-minute walking distance of the venue.
For all available nearby transit lines, and their respective scheduled stops, please head to the relevant ‘Moovit’ page, located here.
Train
The Merseyside Rail network facilitates travel throughout the city and surrounding areas, and is a useful way to reach the test centre. Liverpool Central station, which is positioned on the Wirral Line, is the closest station to Duke Street. As this is the busiest hub of the network, plenty of services heading towards the station are in circulation.
To access the test site from Liverpool Central, head west along Hanover Street, before turning left onto Duke Street and continuing on to the venue. This journey will take approximately six minutes to complete.
For further information about Liverpool Central station, please click the following link.
Alternatively, if using a traditional overground service, Liverpool Lime Street station is conveniently located within one kilometre of Duke Street. Liverpool Lime Street is a major UK station, which welcomes passengers from all over the country. If arriving here, please exit the station and turn left, before heading south on Lime Street. Turn right at the A5038 junction, using Ranelagh Street to head west. This road merges with Hanover Street just beyond Liverpool Central station, so please revert back to the travel instructions above for the remainder of the journey to the test site.
