Coventry Theory Test Centre Directions

Sheriff’s Court is a large, orange-bricked building which is signposted on arrival. Its entrance is located next to Shortland Horne Estate Agents, who have large signage visible from a considerable distance away. The testing area itself is located on the first floor of Warwick Gate.

Car

Coventry’s testing venue is located within Warwick Gate, on Warwick Road, just to the southwest of the city centre. Warwick Gate is actually located within the Sheriff Court complex, and although the test centre address is listed as Warwick Road, the entrance to this building is accessible from Greyfriars Road.

The M6 motorway passes just north of Coventry, and onwards travel into the city is facilitated by the A405 ring road, with the venue located just off the south-western part of this loop.

Parking

There is limited on-street parking available on Sheriffs Orchard, which is situated just around the corner from Warwick Gate. However, there are numerous car parks located nearby.

City Arcade is positioned just 150m north of the test site and is an inexpensive site. Parking is charged at £1.00 per hour, which can be paid for via cash, card, or the PayByPhone service line. Manor House is slightly more expensive, with parking starting at £2.00 for the first hour, and then rising by £1.00 per hour thereafter. This facility is approximately 300m east of Warwick Gate. Simply head north on The Quadrant, before merging with the B4544 and following it south. Turn right at the first roundabout onto Greyfriars Road, citing the test centre around 50m up on your left-hand side.

Bus

There are multiple services that have scheduled stops in close proximity to the venue. We would encourage you to, if possible, opt for a route that includes one of the following stops on its route:

Queen Victoria Road, Quadrant, Starley Road. All of these destinations are within a four-minute walk of Sheriff’s Court.

Train

Coventry Train Station welcomes passengers from all over the country, and is conveniently located about half a kilometre south of the test centre. To access the venue from here, please head directly north, crossing the A4053 to merge onto the B4544. Continue northbound, before turning left at the first roundabout, and progressing to the test site via Greyfriars Road.
