Car
Ballymena test centre is located on Wellington Street, close to the centre of Ballymena. If driving, please be aware that the M2 motorway provides good connections into Ballymena, and the A26 cuts through its town centre.
There are many, fairly cheap parking options close to the test centre. We’ve listed an ideal car park below. However, if you would prefer to consider alternative sites, please click the following link.
Church Street Car Park(s)
This site consists of three separate car parks, which all have the same operational hours and payment details.
Church Street Car Park(s) are open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, but only apply parking fees between Monday-Saturday, 8.30am-6.30pm. Any time spent parking outside of these hours, including Sundays, is free of charge (however, please note that the test centre is closed on weekends). One-hour’s parking costs £0.40, rising to £1 for five hours.
To pay for parking, you’ll need to contact the Just Park service line, on 028-9124-8440, and reference Location ID, 3301. Please note that this is the only method of payment accepted at any of the Church Street facilities. Each car park is located within a two-minute walk of one another, and all accommodate disabled parking.
To access the testing venue from here, please head northbound up Meeting House Lane, before turning right onto Church Street. Progress on Church Street until the Wellington Street junction, and turn left. The test centre will be roughly 50m ahead, located on your left-hand side.

Bus
There are limited local bus routes that pass nearby the test site. If possible, we would recommend catching the number 218 service. This transit line heads between Belfast in Coleraine, travelling in north/south direction(s). If using this service, please exit at George Street. Onwards travel to the venue will take around five minutes to navigate by foot. Head southbound on Lower Mill Street, turn left, and then advance roughly 200m up Wellington Street. The test site will be on your right-hand side.
If using an alternative service, it may be worth aiming to reach Ballymena Bus Station in the western side of the town. It’s likely that most routes will head here at some stage, and this location is just a 1km walk away from the venue. Head eastbound on Galgorm Road (A42), until you reach the Lower Mill Road junction. After turning right, your route converges with the one mentioned above. Therefore, follow the remaining instructions to complete your journey.
If the number 218 is not suitable for your own travel purposes, it may be worth accessing the Translink website to consider other possible routes.
Train
Ballymena Train Station welcomes services from all over Northern Ireland, and is located next to Ballymena Bus Station. Therefore, please follow the onwards travel guidance listed above.
